Tova eau de parfum

Tova Beverly Hills

Where can I buy the original Tova?! People are drawn to it for its fresh and clean smell with staying power. The fragrance notes keep everything smooth and alluring. I love its subtle yet distinctive aroma and would like to purchase some for myself, as it has become my signature fragrance as well. I get more compliments when I wear it compared to others.

Apparently, the formulation has changed, which is quite noticeable for people who have been using the product for years. Sadly, some even suggests that it now smells like insect replant. Many are furious and disappointed with the change and are wondering if the fragrance will ever be the same. QVC may be saving some money for now, but this will be costly in the long run. I'm sure there are remaining original bottles on sale in ebay, though I'm wary of imitations and fraudulent sellers elsewhere.

a blog just about TOVA! amazing

as a TOVA fan for over a decade, I hope they fix this reformulation nonsense

Tova is my favorite...very unique appeal. The notes are so well balanced and blended.

Can perfume be captured into words? Not effortlessly. TOVA is a classic and intense perfume meant for those that want to be noticed! It always leaves a lasting impression but not anymore. I've been wearing TOVA for years and lately they've been watering it down. I'm shocked with the "new" TOVA's flatness. Keep the formula as is and we will come flocking back for more.

So, so sad. I've been wearing Tova since the second year it was out, that's about 25 years now. I turned so many people on to it that I think the Borgnine's owe me a kick back- and now- Tova is no more. I've ordered multiple bottles, I ordered, the elixir, the solid, the special edition, the body cream... everything I could get my hands on in an effort to find the old "Tova magic" but none of it is the same. I wrote to QVC's complaints department., Tova herself and some executives at QVC but have not even received one reply. It's a shame- the original scent was one of a kind, and I have not found anything since that I love as much. I don't understand the logic behind this kind of business decision- they've lost so many customers, and so much good will. SIGH!!!

My wife caught a heavy whiff of this stuff and had to be helped home, feeling very ill. I got a nasty taste in the mouth and a burn across the lungs. As an anaphylactic to certain chemicals this is very worrying. Does anyone out there know what is in the mix? Are the basics now Chinese petro-chemicals? For some people this will be an active poison

What a mess! Why did QVC have to ruin such a nice fragrance? ... Oh, of course, it's all about the bottom line.

Anonymous said...

Tova signature perfume has been my favorite since 1989 when the Tova company introduced the perfume in California. Later I found out that QVC was selling the perfume so I joined the automatic service to receive it every three months and have been doing so since, however, when my last shipment came over a year ago what I received was most definitely NOT the lovely fragrance I was accustomed to using. I complained bitterly and cancelled my order ... spoke to several people at customer service service and found out that the Tova company was sold, however the formula for the signature perfume was not sold, therefore what QVC was selling was NOT Tove original. I have searched high and low and have not found it anyhwere in the US. I still have i unopened bottle and another half way through...I fervently hope that Tova brings this fragrance out again before I run out!!

VERY disappointed in Miami FL

Where can you recommend to by Tova Signature aside from QVC!

Anonymous said...

Tova Signature fragrance is no longer available from anywhere....QVC or any other perfume shop that I know of coast to coast.

The only place I have seen it advertised is on E-bay at $89.00 and on Amazon.com at $100.00 the same bottle I used to buy at QVC for $35.00.

Unless I am assured, without a shadow of a doubt, that it IS the perfume, [there is no way of doing this short of buying the perfume] I refuse to buy it at that price simply because it is too easy tamper with perfumes....add some alcohol and it is no longer the same perfume.

Anonymous said...

Tova for Men was also a luxurious scent that has been discontinued sadly. Its a shame what has become of this company since it was sold to QVC. Most of the cactine based products and shampoos have disappeared as well. Remember the original cactine bar that lasted forever it seemed? or the hair mask? Tova go on your own again !!

qvc is showing a new tova - platinum.
Is this another "imposter" or can it be that they listened and brought back our beloved fragrance? I am very reluctant to buy it because of my disappointment with her products. Any thoughts.........

Just checked the ingredients of the "new" Platinum Tova against the ingredients of the "reserve" Tova and they are almost identical! HMMMMMMM.... so how can the platinum edition be our old original formula???

Anonymous said...

Tova Signature Platinum will be premiering on QVC/Saturday Night Beauty 5/16/09. It is an advance order price of $29.71. Item #A91981

From QVC's website:

What is it: The legendary Tova(R) Signature eau de parfum has been enhanced in an effort to recapture the mystique and allure that made this a fragrance unlike any other in the world. Three main steps were taken in this fragrance reformulation:

Tova has gone back to the original creators of Signature and they have sourced the highest quality ingredients available--the finest jasmine and bergamot from Italy, French lavender from Provence, and rare East Indian sandalwood.

Signature Platinum also features a higher level of musk notes which are responsible for the long-lasting richness that originally set Tova Signature apart from other fragrances.

Tova has increased the concentration of fragrance from 28.5% to 32.5%, making Tova Signature Platinum one of the most highly concentrated eau de parfums in the world!

Who is it for: Anyone who has loved Tova Signature throughout the last 25 years.

Why is it different: At 32.5%, Tova Signature Platinum has one of the highest concentrations of fragranced oil in an eau de parfum. More fragrance means more to smell!

How do I use it: Tova Signature Platinum comes with a sprayer that delivers over twice as much fragrance per spray than the average parfum bottle. Rather than spraying directly onto your skin, spray the fragrance in the air around you, allowing it to settle upon you. Avoid spraying and rubbing into wrists to prevent crushing the individual notes.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this is the real deal. Only time will tell -- only the nose will know!

If this "platinum" TOVA isnt the same as the original, I am going to be pissed.

Gee whiz, what is the point of selling crap in a bottle with "Tova" written on it? People (like me) aren't buying it for the name, they're buying it for the scent, and when they discover, as I unfortunately did, that it doesn't smell the same, they won't buy anymore. This brilliant idea is like trying to sell people Hyundais with Rolls Royce hood ornaments, thinking they won't notice the difference. Good luck with that!

Anonymous said...

Tova -- you should be ashamed to have your name on such a bug smell! I used tova signature for years when it was the best, now it's garbage!

Anonymous said...

Tried the Tova Platinum in hopes it was like the magical ORIGINAL Tova Signature. It is NOT repeat NOT like the original. So sad they don't go back to the original formulation! I think they are taking advantage of all of us loyal Tova customers - on the good will of the Tova brand. This brand in the past stood for unbelievably high quality; now is is for cheap perfume.

I have been using this since 1989 and it has been my scent always....... it's mama's smell, its grandma's smell and great grandmother,,,,, help how do we get the orig. back??? I have had men chase me down in malls asking what am i wearing,,,,

Anonymous said...

Tova platinum is NOT the original TOVA--neither is anything else sold on QVC--I bought them all in hopes of getting the old fragrance! They all have an edge of bug repellant and the entire disappears in only a few minutes. Why does this nave to be so difficult?
there was a scent i had in high school--circa 1983-which was just "white musk" by key West gragrances. It was frsh and fabulous and people stopped me on the streets. That's how i found Tova--when i stopped a woman in a store to ask about the fragrance she was wearing which smelled exactly like the Key west one. it was TOVA.

Anonymous said...

I was wearing tova in 1985. I used to go to her shop in Bev Hills. What people don't mention is that she started to change it even before QVC. I just got the platinum. Not even close.

Anonymous said...

TOVA,
PLEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAASE BRING THE ORIGINAL BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I CANNOT BELIEVE YOU EVEN THINK FOR A MINUTE IT IS THE SAME!
IT SMELLS LIKE "OFF"
YOU ARE GOING TO LOOSE ALL YOUR ORIGINAL TOVA CUSTOMERS!!!!!!

LisaMay said...

Going to lose her customers, I think she is well on her way. I used Tova for years, same as all of you and loved it - perfection. Now, she is or QVC is trying to fool us again. Platinum is a far cry from the original. The search continues. My hope is that someone else outside of the Tova realm will come up with something, better than the garbage we have been getting the past QVC riddled years.
I guess what upsets me more than this is that all of our complaints have fallen on TOVA's deaf ears. Sellout is all I can think. sad but true...

I wish some other perfumer get the original Tova Signature recipe and make the fragrance? Seeing all of the comments from original Tova Signature customers, this would be a good investment!

As all of the other have expressed, the original Tova Signature was great. The current Tova is lousy.

I have been searching for several years to find something similar to original Tova Signature but have had no success.

Does anyone have any recommendations on a fragrance similar to the old Tova Signature?

Anonymous said...

I haven't worn a fragrance in years - caught up with work, kids, economy etc. but have recently decided to reclaim my "allure". The first thing I knew I needed was the Original Tova perfume. Since I haven't bought it in years, I orderd Tova Signature thinking this was the original. Crash. Boom. Despair. It no longer exists. Nothing can replace it. I researched intensively and found Cliniques Aromatics as a pitiful second choice. When I wore the original scent EVERYONE asked what I was wearing. Heads turned with my passing. If a smart company could obtain the original formulation and market it as such they would make a fortune. Not a lot of people knew about original TOVA (I considered it my secret weapon!) but all that did were instantly addicted. I mourn. What a shame something SO good is gone forever. Is Tova is withholding the formula?

I am asthmatic and in the last decade have had several bouts of Anaphylactic shock throat closings. I cannot tolerate perfume. Going to the market is tough.
The Tova eau de Perfum spray 3.3 oz. was a Godsend to me for many years. I often purchased it directly in Beverly Hills at the Tova Salon, then a few years back at QVC.
What is the point of taking it off the market?
Amazon is selling the one 3.3 oz. spray bottle for $300 plus dollars. Go figure. I remember paying around $50 from Tova, then closer to $75 with QVC. Is this so that we all get so excited that we are willing to pay just about anything for the fragrance.
Sleepless without Tova!!!

I fell in love with Tova Signature over 25 years ago. How sad to know that it's gone Why take that delicous sexy fragrance and change it?
Tova is just a spokesperson for QVC who calls the shots. I can't believe that she sells it as the original. She must know that after thousands of letters, that it's not. My wish: the original bottle, original scent, I will be back to feeling beautiful again. Did anyone find a scent that's even close?

I am so choosey about perfume...wore the original for years when it first came out over 20 years ago. And then thought I was nuts that suddenly it didn't smell the same...maybe it was my imagination? and then eventually it just plain smelled CRAPPY, no question. How much I would spend to have that original scent again? TOVA where are you and how could you have deserted all the "women of taste" this way? Ladies, 2nd choice? I like Calvin Klein's Euphoria, not repulsive like his other scents, fresh and clean, but still pitiful compared to the original TOVA scent. What a shame, but I am relieved to see I am not the only one angry and disappointed.Shame on you Tova, your name means "good" in Hebrew...now live up to your name and bring back our perfume!!!!

To Tova Borgnine, please bring back the original TOVA. LISTEN to your customers who have always loved the scent. I have not purchased a new bottle for years because when I read all reviews, it no longer is the TOVA Signature Eau De Toilette that so many enjoyed before. WHY?????????????

I JUST found out about all of this Tova nonsense. I've been stocked up with the original scent until now and I am trying not to have a breakdown. I refuse to wear any other perfume except for Tova and am so mad about this. Why change something if it's not broken? I have no choice but to chance it and hope there are some honest sellers on Ebay..... so very disappointed about this!!!!!

What can we do to get this back on the market? Who can we contact? My Aunt wore this perfume religiously! And now that she has passed, it is the only thing that we have left to remind us of her.
My Aunt has turned me and my whole family onto this and I am sadden that it is gone. Tova Original is like nothing else out there! So sad that they do not make it anymore :(

Tova Platinum is the closest to the original Tova Signature. Tova and the QVC host claim she went back to Manheimmer, the original perfumer, to create Platinum. It's certainly loaded with sensual musk, but it missing some of the sweeter notes of original Tova. Still, I wear it when you think of the dreck that is out on the market that sells for 2 to 3 times of Tova Platinum sells for.

When QVC bought out Tova (because she was bankrupt), they bought the rights to all her products. They proceeded to cheapen her scents with inferior source ingredients.

What's pathetic is how they've made Tova write that letter and how QVC sends emails to dissatisfied customers telling them their body chemistry has changed. OMG! Lies! You can find QVC customers in Germany and in the U.K. that are writing the same identical complaints about Signature (and Nights). But, QVC will lie through its teeth for the bottom line.

Wow, look at all these comments. Surely, I'm not the only one who feels theis way.

Why would any company change something that was so perfect and so successful? And the bigger question......why won't this company listen to it's loyal customers, women who know this product so well and have worn it since it's inception? I am (was) one of those women. And I am completely puzzled as to why QVC has ignored so many negative comments about the product and so many requests for a return to the orginal product? QVC has given excuse after excuse for the difference in the product, and has then gone on to say there is no difference. Fool me once, QVC, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me. I agree.....penny-wise, pound foolish, QVC.

Yes, you can buy it on Ebay and Amazon at outrageous prices. But I an returning everything I got from QVC because it all smells horrible. Has the "real" Tova herself disappeared off the face of the earth. Maybe the reason she went bankrupt is because she stopped selling her original Tova Signature.

I noticed the sig. Tova was " weaker, thinner ", less oily; my clothes used to keep the scent after many washings. this no longer happens. Why change something that works ? If it's a cost issue, which usually is what drives a product, keep it the same, but increase the price.

Once again, those so called geniuses, that sit in their towers cloistered with sales figures are screwing us. "Hey, we have a powerhouse product. Let's cut back on the expensive ingredients and squeeze out more bucks for the execs. "

When will you idiots learn that the consumer is NOT stupid! With all your formula ingredient changes, you have alienated a generation of faithful buyers who abosultely loved Tova original. Once someone looses faith in a product you don't get us back. I would say this is a perfect example of cutting off your nose to spite your face.

Memo to Executives: Shame on you and your GREEDY ways.

Please bring the original Tova Signature back. I have been wearing this scent for 26 years. The new formula is absolutely no comparison to the original product that Tova herself produced. Shame on QVC!

This is such a huge disappointment, especially since I wore it daily. My 19 year daughter grew up smelling it on me; however, neither of us have any desire to wear the Tova formula being sold today. This stinks...pun intended!

PLEASE BRING BACK THE ORIGINAL TOVA SIGNATURE and send Tova a great big apology!

I too am an "old-timer" of the original Signature Tova. I wore it everyday for at least 25 years. That frangrance is what my children and grandchildren know me by. They always said "Memek you smell so good"..."you leave the best smelling trail". Please hear us Tova. Surly you are not still in bankrupcy. Maybe the reason for it is that you "sold out" the original fragrance to QVC. Does anyone know of a fragrance that is similar. I saw the info in regards to "Eophoria" by CK, but someone listed two other fragrances about a year ago that smelled similar. Does anyone know what they are? The lose of this wonderful perfume is a tragedy!

Can someone cut and paste this thread onto QVC's website? If money talks, then non-one who's disappointed should buy from the TOVA range anymore or ideally from QVC. A drop in sales will be the only language QVC understand.
My partner is gutted. He associates the original Tova smell with me, and only me. When I was away for long periods, the lingerng smell on the pillow used to remind him of me. Now it's gone he's gutted. That Tova smell was part of our relationship. So sad.

And then when I heard of TOVA's Parfum not Causing ALLERGIC Reactions ( No more Sneezing for Us Sensitive Person's), I Tried it, Fell In Love again. ( I Recieved all TOVA's Products from Beverly Hill's Salon Until QVC took over the Phone's to BEVERLY HILLS Salons, and Fired all the Beauty Consultents there) It is the Only PARFUM I have used daily, nightly, I had Compliments from Everyone, My Son's Loved it .Husband. I LOVE/LOVED It >>. Until a Little while after that.. They Had SIGNATURE on BOTTLES..they Slowly Changed the Product..Thats a FACT!!!. I returned one for smelling like PURE ALCOHOL, they, QVC, said it wasn't Aged enough., MY Son's Told me to Stop Wearing it..It smelled like Nasty Socks. No Lingering TOVA, NO More COMPLIMENTS, No More Waking to the Scent on My pillows, NOTHING ;O( But Frowns. I have an ORIGINAL BOTTLE Still, Plus I have her Cut Collectors Bottles that she said was Refillable from QVC, But I could never get a Bottle to REFILL them..WHY?.

TRUE TOVA ADDICT said...

Ladies, we are grieving. Now, this is just my theory, but tell me what you think ...

First the BAD NEWS:

QVC may not be able to go back to the original formula because THEY NEVER HAD IT! I believe Tova may have withheld some ingredient or process from the original formula when QVC bought it from her. (We've all had this happen to us when asking someone for a recipe for their "signature" dish. People want it to be their "signature" so they subtly sabotage the recipe and when you try to make it, it doesn't quite come out the same.)

BUT...
Why might Tova do something like that? Which might bring us to the ...
GOOD NEWS:

I believe that the original TOVA SIGNATURE may exist under a different name, being produced and sold by a world class couture perfumier, perhaps in France or elsewhere overseas; most certainly for a very, very high price (who knows $300, $500, even $1000 per ounce?) and perhaps available by word of mouth only.

Think about it...
We all know that EVERYONE noticed our scent when we wore it, and it didn't matter what you looked like, how old you were, whether you were wearing sloppy sweatpants with your hair unwashed and your face broken out; EVERYONE commented on how lovely you smelled. It always smelled wonderful and it had something for everyone who smelled you. To my children and grandchildren it smelled yummy, to my students it smelled like sunshine, to my husband (and any man that was attracted to me before I married) it smelled incredibly sexy, to men who weren't attracted to me (brothers, father, cousins, doctors, dentists, strangers, etc.) it smelled simply terrific, to women I didn't know it smelled fresh and clean ("what shampoo do you use?"), to my sister and best girlfriends it smelled delicious and amazing, and to me it smelled like heaven on earth. Everyone asked what it was and, personally, I ALWAYS told them it was TOVA and where they could buy it. I literally wanted the whole world to smell like TOVA, not just me. I wore it everyday for over 23 years, from my pregnancies in my early 30's straight through menopause and it always smelled the same, unaffected by changing hormones, diet, or medications. There is simply no other fragrance in the world that can make these claims. I actually believe that the scent itself affects brain chemistry and makes you feel gracious and generous and happy and calm! Honestly, the military could just spray this stuff around to settle tensions in the Middle East!

Get real!
How could the formula for a perfume with this kind of magic simply be "lost", "changed" or accidentally botched?

Surely Tova must have been approached hundreds of times by prestigious perfumiers or fashion designers wanting to buy her formula. Extremely wealthy women would naturally adore the scent (and be addicted to it, just like us). But women like that, who consume couture fashion, would want it to be their "signature" fragrance, and that can't happen as long as riff-raff like us can get our grubby paws on it for $35 a bottle! So I believe Tova may have "sabotaged" it so that she (or her buyer) could secretly repackage and remarket it under a different name to a highly exclusive clientele.

TRUE TOVA ADDICT said...

So why do I call this GOOD NEWS?!

Because if my theory is correct, then it means that the ORIGINAL TOVA DOES EXIST somewhere, and if we can just somehow find out where, we might still be able to get it. Speaking as a true addict, I would pay anything to get just one bottle of the real thing, once! For $1000 I wouldn't be able to afford to actually WEAR IT and risk using it up. I would simply uncap it once a day, hold it under my nose, and inhale. But I would still buy it! That's how much I miss it!

So ladies ...
We must keep our noses on high alert. Especially if you have contact with or are traveling among the wealthy elite, keep your nostrils open; and if you get a hint of a whiff of this scent of our dreams, follow it like a bloodhound and track down the source. Then post here and share with your fellow addicts. We're all depending on each other!
Life may not be worth living without it.

(and if you think I'm joking then you've never smelled TOVA!)

I have been a loyal customer with QVC over 22 years. I have long been a TOVA lover(signature fragrance). I stopped a few years ago because I couldn't afford it. I started using Pure Grace & I love it but wanted to go back to the original TOVA I loved so much. So, I went to the QVC website to shop & was appalled at all the bad reviews I read. I decided to do some more research & found this website & again seen all the bad reviews. Someone has said that Tova sold out her fragrance to QVC & apparently that has been(to some people like selling her soul to the devil). I always thought of TOVA as a lovely, classy lady who I could trust but now I wonder if that is true. TOVA--why would you sell out the reputation & cult following that you had accummulated all those years on QVC. Is there anybody that is not willing to sell their soul for the almighty dollar. Of course, I am sure we all are aware that nothing is made here in the good old USA anymore so undoubtedly QVC decided to tweak TOVA's original formula to save money & make more profit because it probably only costs them pennies to make. What happened to quality & committment to your customers who have trusted you all these yeas. I called Customer Service & got absolutely nowhere. SHAME ON YOU QVC!!! I feel like Diogenes in Greek mythology walking through the town with a lantern in my hand "looking for an honest man". Unfortunately, this a sign of the times(and mind you it is not a good sign) the way our society does things today. The rich get richer & the poor get poorer. Soon we will be a third world country & the elite will rule the world. QVC-Please back the original TOVA Signature. they are many of us who would rather see you raise the price than sell us a cheap imposter & try to convince that we are crazy & that it is the same thing. You buys will suffer financially from this scam. Just like the public is sick of politics as usual we are fed up with big business as usual also. I hae a shirt that I had purchased from QVC twenty years ago & was shocked when I looked at the label. It said "MADE IN THE USA". Perhaps I should give it to the Smithsonsian so my children & grandchildren can see that at one point in time we were a prosperous manufacturing country & that I didn;t just make that up(LOL)

Just found out about Tova b/c I was running out and I tried to reorder on QVC. A sad sad day. I have never received such compliments as I do when I wear TOVA. I'm a nurse and my patients have always appreciated the light, fresh scent. I am so saddened b/c I don't think there are enough of us for the company to reproduce the orginal fragrance. So sad.

Chris from St. Louis says, OK, so I am now totally out of every resource I had of the original Tova. PLEASE BRING IT BACK. QVC, needs to get a grip and return it to the original beautiful scent it was. I am not going to pay the outrageous prices on EBAY for the original scent. I'm done with it until the original scent returns.

I have been wearing Tova for over 20 years and got compliments wherever I went, the supermarket, the dentist... they all wanted to know the name of my perfume. Please, please, please bring back the original Tova.

I am disgusted that TOVA will just not honestly state that they just don't make this fragrance anymore! If they have sold millions of bottles-why would the TOVA company shoot themselves in the foot by creating an inferior product with the TOVA name? Please just tell me straight that this is just not available anymore instead of telling me stories darling about "reformulation, etc. etc,!"

My bottle is emptly. I just finished my last drop of the orginal TOVA perfume and I'm frustrated. After years of wearing the orginal perfume I am now looking for a replacement for my favorite perfume. I tried the other products promoted by Tova and found them disappointing.

Since Tova and QVC are not looking to meet their consumer needs/requests does anyone have a suggestion for a perfume that I could switch to? THANKS!

Why change what wasn't broken? I've tried the other Tova fragrances and have been disappointed. Why won't Tova go back to the original scent? Just give the people what they want!

It should be so obvious that GREED took over and they substituted with cheaper ingredients. I tried the Tova Nights and the scent disappeared in no time at all. Who is going to admit to the fact that they got greedy.

I ran out of Tova so I stopped buying it for awhile. Now I decided I want it again and go figure it's not here anymore. It is weird how one fragrance can be so nice and comfortable to wear and puts me in a good mood. Haven't found any other perfume that does that for me....bring it back pretty please!! Could it be they lost the formula and are fudging it? I actually like pure Bergamot aromatherapy - it's very satisfying...they sell it in Bath and Body Works....I'll wear that (if they still have it!) til Tova comes back...if ever...sigh.

Thank you for creating this blog. My hubby and I have been in a financially difficult time. So, naturally, I had to cut out "discretionary spending."

My sweet husband just let me know what I have for our little Christmas budget. Past two years I did not get anything (or very much of anything). What I had went to our two little boys. So what do you think I want for Christmas?

...TOVA...(sniff, sniff).

Yes, all I want for Christmas is my original TOVA that I wore for more than 15 years.

I can't believe that now that I can buy myself a gift, my (our) Tova...it's no where to be found.

Heartbroken in North Florida.

Just wondering what scent Tova herself wears now that her signature scent is no longer available. I remember watching her so many times on QVC saying how her husband loved her scent. What does it say now?

EVERY time I wear Tova Signature someone will ask me what I'm wearing....I
I'm really disappointed and will Boycott QVC until I get my Tova back!!!

Don't apply perfume behind your ears, as it will be easy for it to mix with the secretions of your skin and form a strange smell.

I have been wearing Tova for over 12 years. It is my all time favorite frangrance. I did not know that the Tova formula had changed. I ordered the Tova Signature after watching Tova rave about it on QVC and once it arrived at my home I COULD NOT believe the foul smelling, horrible, smell that came out of the bottle. What were these people thinking?? Out of desperation, I bid on a bottle from Ebay. I "won" a used and half full bottle for $46, but I figured I will take what I can get. The bottle showed up sticky and full of something that was certainly NOT Tova. I'm so sad and am willing to BEG Tova to bring back her beautiful signature scent. She was such a divine woman...what was she thinking???? I wonder how much money Tova received for selling herself out. This move made her look greedy and selfish. Especially when she was on QVC pushing her new, disgusting smelling wares acting as if they were still wonderful as ever...GROSS!

I sadly am one of evidently thousands of former TOVA only fragrance wearers that long for that special TOVA experience. Nothing can make one feel more special, when a perfect stranger asks what is that wonderful odor I am experiencing. I would always tell them TOVA from Beverly Hills and of course if it was a lady, she would want to know where she could find it. I am crushsd to say no one has asked what I am wearing because I haven't had TOVA in a very long while. I too, was known for my TOVA fragrance and have been searching for one that coulld come close to that fragrance and I too have failed miserably. I like all the other posters whould do also anything to have the Original Tova again, my husband says that I'll just need to find something else to wear, BUT SADLY nothing else compares. So ladies, where does that leave us TOVA addicts, I guess we will all need to go to rehab but I don't know if that would help us truly ADDICTED TOVA WEARERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GeGe

I still dare to hope that TOVA will be back and check back often.

I e-mailed QVC UK in March 2011 and was advised that the Tova perfume is now discontinued - gutted. I had tried the Signature Platinum and it's vile. However I managed to buy a 100ml bottle of the original Tova Signature on E-bay UK, at a very good price, £26, which is just wonderful. The seller put another bottle on and I bought that as well. She then e-mailed me through E-Bay and said she had 3 more, so I bought the lot. Everyone now says I am back to the real me with my beautiful original perfume and I feel like the luckiest person in the world. There is a seller on E-bay USA with the same bottle at a buy it now price of £305 - crazy. I got 5 bottles for £130 and yes it is the real deal in the big bottle with the black top. All I can say to everyone is to keep looking on E-bay and hope you are as lucky as I was. 16.4.2011

This is my take. Money talks. It's possible that the original TOVA fragrance is under patent and somehow cannot be sold on QVC. Yesterday 7/20/11 on QVC, Tova told a caller (Louise)who inquired about the original TOVA fragrance, that the original fragrance and the TOVA Signature Classic is the same formula, that's a lie. She responded to her as if the caller was stupid and can't tell the difference. To avoid the real truth, she told the caller that in November 2011 she can get everything she is wishes, whatever that means? If Tova can't get it back she should be honest and say so. I won't buy anymore TOVA because of that, the other fragrances don't smell as well anyway. We as consumers have power. Don't buy Tova's products until she gives us what we want.....the original TOVA from 21 years ago.

QVC is discontinuing Tova. They're just selling out their existing inventory of Platinum. It's over. Pity. (9/3/11)

I wish that I had bought Tova Signature years back. I did buy some a few years back from QVC and it didn't smell good to me at all. I never got one compliment and one co-worker wanted to know what had been sprayed in the room, that it smelled like window cleaner. I was so embarrassed because I had thought the same thing but thought it was just my nose. I didn't wear it again. Now, after reading the wonderful reports about the original, I would love to buy a bottle. I called QVC to asked if the original was coming back and customer service had no idea when or if. Very sad because I've never felt the kind of loyalty to a perfume as has been expressed by so many posters. The closest that I have come is with Now and Forever by Joan Rivers and I think it has been discontinued also.

The only place I can find any Tova Eau De Parfum original is on ebay for $299.+ or other auction sites where the prices obviously are ridiculous. I admit that I paid $105. twice for a 3.3 oz. bottle because I know none will be available anywhere soon. I have worn it since it first came out, long before QVC. Why can't someone continue to make it? I heard that QVC bought Tova out and discontinued this particular fragrance. I am so very sad as I have loved wearing it, constantly receiving compliments each and every time I am out and about. I don't understand why Tova could not have sold the recipe for this one to another company who would not change a thing and would continue to produce it. I guess the loyal customer doesn't count for anything anymore. They made their money, now to hell with us!!

Anonymous said...

I watched Tova recently on a late night qvc show. They had a lot of her fragrances on clearance, and the hostess kept saying, "Tova isn't leaving. We are doing new packaging and configurations." At one point, Tova said, "I've read your comments. The original is coming back. It will be a while, and I can't say more." Then she looked like she shouldn't have said anything. I'm afraid to get my hopes up. Like many who have written here, I used the real Signature for many years. The lady at the dry cleaners would tell me how good my dirty clothes smelled because the fragrance lingered in a good way. The new stuff is missing something and doesn't last. I bought a bottle of Platinum, used it for a while and gave up. I gave it to a friend who thought it was nice. She tried it once and brought it back to me saying it smelled like gasoline after it dried. I can't even give that stuff away!!!

Anonymous said...

P.S. I believe she sold the company to qvc and they substituted synthetics to save money. Tova has no control over her line anymore. I used to buy from her salon, Tova Beverly Hills, through the mail. Not possible anymore. What you see on ebay and amazon is coming from people who bought it before and decided to sell and see what they could get for it. I've looked at some of the pictures - some are the original bottles and some the newer formula. There is hardly any of her skincare available now and no makeup. If qvc isn't going to fix the problem, they need to take it off the market.

Cobie said...

Please let me know when they bring the ORIGINAL back. I read the last comment above me, and I really really pray its true =\ Every now and then I search the web and hope QVC returned the original, but end up being disappointed. I rarely bought it on a regular because of financial situations; so when my husband finally gave me the okay a few years back, it was GONE.

I was a Tova Club member and always took advantage of the "specials" that were offered each month.I just listed a partial bottle of the original lotion and an almost full bottle of the Liquid talc on e-bay. I am actually going to be selling 2 or 3 of the bottles I have left in the next week. I saw that a lot of the TOVA is not the original which will be in Frosted glass and comes in a black box, not a white one.

I know that there will never be a substitute for the original TOVA fragrance. If in the event that TOVA ceases to produce the original signature TOVA again, that would be very sad. The closest one I found to the TOVA scent was "china musk" which I purchased online at The Fragrance Shop at www.thefragranceshop.com and while it does not smell exactly like the original it does come close. You can try a sample before buying a bigger size. I contacted The Fragrance Shop's customer service and asked if they can replicate the scent of the original TOVA, and they told me that they are in the process of doing so as per the many requests they have received. I hope they come up with the result as soon as possible.

I am desperately trying to locate a similar scent as Tova Signature. I started using recently, purchasing the new version Tova Signature Platinum. The compliments have been contineous. I am very disappointed QVC has stopped selling this wonderful product.

I visited ScentMatchers.com and asked for a perfume close to the Tova Signature, the result was awful. Not worth the price.

Now, I have reached out to theFragranceShop.com per a note I saw in this blog. I've asked them to keep me informed when they finalize their product so I can try it. I hope they do a good job.

I am one of the original TOVA buyers on QVC item A9164. Purchased so much of this still remember the item number. Gave it to many many people because they loved the fragrance as much as I did. Always so many compliments then all of a sudden could not get the product anymore. There was variations offered but nothing compared to the original. Just don't like most of the other items offered now. There are items of the original offered on secondary markets however the price it totally out of my range. Just can't spend the price they are asking as well as not knowing what the quality of the item will be. PLEASE TOVA, BRING YOUR SIGNATURE BACK TO QVC!!!!! Obviously so many people loved that original and are missing it so much and in need of being able to purchase once again. Personally I am very sensitive to fragrances but the original TOVA was heavenly for me. Because I could use it and never have a problem. Sadly now I have nothing to use. Can't find anything that agrees with my system.

I too have been missing Tova and that is how I found this blog in the hope of finding TOVA Signature! Agree, the Tova Platnium is "garbage". I suffer from Migraine Headaches for more than fifty years and TOVA Signature Original formula was something I could wear with no headache!

I understand that Tova probably wanted to retire but am SO VERY DISAPPOINTED IN QVC and how they "killed" this classic award winning fragrance.

It would be such good business for them to bring it back in the ORIGINAL formula as evidenced by all of the above comments.

I hope this "political" situation backfires on Tova or QVC, whoever decided to make it a "hot potato." If no one buys this product through the other channels (ebay, etc.), perhaps they will see the stupidity of trying to make money at the expense of others. If no one pays the exhorbitant prices they are asking, maybe they will finally "get it."

Anonymous said...

After searching for months for the ORIGINAL Signature I stumbled across this blog and would like to thank everyone for their remarks. Now I know that its not just me who thinks this fragrance has changed. Its absolutely awful, like flyspray. I watched Tova on QVCUK and she said that the formulation is still the same! But, she then said that the only change was in the design of the bottle, and tried to make all us loyal customers try to believe her! Does she really think we are all stupid. If everyone in the US refuses to buy all the Tova rubbish which is now on QVC.com, and on QVCUK and if all of us here in the UK do the same, then, although it wont bring the ORIGINAL fragrance back, then QVC customers both side of the pond will be making a stand and letting them know that we do not tolerate being fobbed off with rubbish. Tova, shame on you also!

The change in the Signature formula has to be intentional. Tova Borgnine or even somebody at QVC wanted to deliberately "kill" the Signature line in order to re-market it under a different label as a high-priced couture perfume available only through an exclusive perfumier. It is the only explanation that makes sense. Go back and read TRUE TOVA ADDICT in the middle of this blog.

Signature Platinum is not the same fragrance as Tova Signature. I purchased a 4 bottle sample of Tova's scents and in the sampler there is Signature Platinum, which doesn't smell like Tova's original Signature.

Anonymous said...

I don't think Tova withheld an ingredient from her formula when she sold it to QVC, but I do think QVC isn't buying an ingredient to put in the fragrance because it would make the price too high. Tova, repeatedly, said that the Night Jasmine that was in Tova signature was over $1000 a pound it was the ingredient that made Tova's signature smell sweet. It probably got even more expensive and what she was charging for the scent wasn't covering it, but as long as she was on the Q she couldn't raise the price so it looks like it bankrupted her business.

I've stopped ordering stuff like that from shopping channels they tend to drop products that you have been buying for years without any explanation or warning. Sometimes you can call the shopping channel and get the number of the original maker and order that way, but from what is written here that isn't even possible with Tova signature. I figured one day we wouldn't be able to get it if Tova passed away but I had hoped she would have someone to continue her work.

It must kill Tova to sell that crap when she has had to abandon her true creation that so many people loved but my guess it is also what made her go bankrupt. If QVC were honest I'll bet that most customers would have been glad to pay more for it they could have given us easy pays to help us out but we weren't consulted at all. How can we trust them to give us a quality product if they aren't honest about what is really going on?

I order a few things from them but when they don't carry those things anymore then I won't order anything more from them and I have been buying from them since 1991. I'm sick of getting a product falling in love with it using it everyday for years to have it disappear and I can't find it anywhere so I don't buy anything like that from them anymore.

I hope there is a GENUINE TOVA in the future, but I somehow doubt it from reading the blogs. I stopped ordering this a while back because of the " bug spray" character that suddenly appeared. I, too, would be more than happy to pay more, I would expect to get what I ordered, however, and that no longer seems to be a concern at QVC. Long relationship in jeopardy!

I was the one who commented a while ago about this and wanted to follow up.

According to the QVC ladies Tova Signature is back! I ordered this, they say it smells like the original TOVA! Yippee
TOVA Royal Velvet 3-piece Collection

I ordered it in December and finally received it today May. I opened it up and it was worth the wait. It smells WONDERFUL!!!! I was so happy until I went to QVC and realized that they are now saying it is no longer available. Why oh why?? They cannot say for sure if it will come back. To me it smells like the original TOVA. Figured you would all like to know this. Maybe if we write to QVC and request it they will carry it back in stock. For now, I am happy to smell like "me" again!

I just received my Tova from QVC after being on a waiting list for about 4 months. I did a "smell" test. I used the new Tova on one wrist and a spray of a bottle of VERY old Tova on the other. The old bottle is the original. The new Tova smelled like the old Tova and lasted a lot longer. The old Tova probably isn't lasting because that bottle is at least 12 years old.

Then, today I tried the new Tova and compared it to a bottle of the Tova Signature that I bought from QVC about a year ago. Well, the Tova Signature STINKS. I could tell the difference right away. The Signature is going into the trash - too late to get a refund now.

I am pleased with the new Tova and I hope QVC keeps this formula going forward.

QVC not carrying TOVA??? This is as of 5/9/12.

All they have is TOVA Nights and a bunch of the other crap nobody wants.

I just received my order and went into QVC to possibly buy another bottle and it says they are not carrying it now! I e-mailed them.

Does anybody have a clue what the heck QVC is doing now? Grrrrrrrrr........

Anonymous said...

Okay, QVC e-mailed me today and claims that they are still going to carry TOVA but that it's not in stock right now. What I don't get is why would they remove it from the site completely? Most sites will show the item and then put NOT IN STOCK in big, red letters. Hmmmm..... I hope this isn't something fishy....

I called QVC today as I received a sample card of Tova Signiture in an order that I had placed,-. I went online straight away and they had already chhanged the stock number and said it was yet another number and on waitlist. I own my own business and I woud be out of business if I conducted myself like QVC seems to be doing. Anyway, I am going on wait list and hope when I finally get TOVA Signiture, I don't fall in love with it. I can't stand all the heartbreak on this blog. VERY Sad. I don't want be in this club.

QVC has cheapened everything they've touched over the past 5 years. The name no longer represents the company, might as well shop at a dollar store or thrift store...I know the economy stinks...so instead of cutting thier quality and bringing on all the B and Issac shows..expect to make alittle less by keeping the quality high. Tampering with the Tova signature and then repeatly lying to us about it...should put you completely out of business!

Today, May 30 2012, I received my bottle of the "relaunched" edition of TOVA. Well...I am not at all impressed. The fragrance is faintly reminiscent of the original version. I had refused to waste any more $$ on the fragrance since it changed. However with the promises of "the original is back" and "the TOVA you love is back", I was soo very hopeful that I could recapture the real TOVA. Disappointed yet again...the "relaunched" version does not last. It is there for a while and I have to reapply. I will be out of this bottle in no time and WILL NOT REORDER. So very disappointing.

Anonymous said...

Do not know if this will get published, BUT QVC bought out TOVA and that is why everything has changed, including QVC. Not like it use to be; so dependable and now hardly buy anything there. They need to rectify this problem, if they can.

I'm afraid nothing smells like the original TOVA which is a shame but two perfumes that smell very different but have the same musky lingering power are Ombre Rose and Escentric Molecules 01 (the one without the pepper. They are two). Good luck finding something you like, I'm devastated by this loss!

I, too, have been a Tova lover since its inception. I, too, have been searching for it ever since they (either TOVA or QVC) changed the fragrance. Well, ladies, I have found a small personalized perfumer who will duplicate Tova exactly, but under a different name, of course. I will be paying the origination fee of $3000. Once I approve the fragrance, they will make a few bottles at a time. If possible, I will try to negotiate samples for you to try before buying. We have all been disappointed with claims of the real thing and would not want that to happen again. Let me know if you would be willing to pay $200 for a 100ml bottle of this replicated Tova fragrance.

So that's why it has been impossible to buy the original Tova perfume in Norway for some time now. I have been using the Tova Signature perfume since 1988, and it's the absolute right perfume for me (the smell has become my signature:-))And it's also the only perfume I can use (I get headace from all the other perfumes I have tried) I am very sad to hear that they have change the perfume!!! Does Tova Borgnine know about this? I hope someone can fix this!!! The best to all of you from Mrs Aud Haugerud Johansen, a TOVA fan in Norway:-)

Does the company not realize that women are wanting the fragrance back?!? SURELY, they are bright enough to understand how important this is to those on the buyers market. And don't they also understand that if they put it back on the market, people WOULD buy it as long as it is sold at reasonable prices. They would MAKE MONEY there's no doubt in my mind!!OH PLEASE BRING BACK the original scent. IT WAS ABSOLUTELY LOVELY and unique to whoever wore it!!!!

Why they have to change something so good????

July 2012 Ladies Tova reintroduced Tova Signature at QVC. I have it and it smells wonderful. I hope they continue to stock it, I will be purchasing it again.

I've followed the negative comments about Tova's reformulations for years and though I mourn a now-dead love (my Tova Nights), I've given up and moved on. Well, I moved twice in the last several years and have boxes in my garage that haven't been opened since 2005. Imagine my surprise when I started sorting them and came across a whole boxful of old Tova leftovers! Of course they're dated and not really wearable now, but when I opened them I immediately was taken back to that wonderful time and place when Tova was the real thing! It was like I imagine a big hit of a drug--just the most fabulous flood of memories. Oh, how I loved those "signature" and "nights" scents!

Tova signature scent has been my favorite scent since I received it as a wedding gift in 1998...
I am sooooo disapointed in QVC for allowing the scent to change...
The new product being sold does not compare to the original...It does not last all day...I no longer get compliments from strangers in the stores etc...
I am no longer going to purchase this purfume from QVC or any where else...
I am bummed out I have to find another favorite scent that lasts all day...
At first I thought just the purfume bottle only changed...Sad, because so did the scent...

OK!!!! I found a perfume that smells almost EXACTLY like ORIGINAL TOVA!!!! I read on another blog that Beyond Scents had a roll on oil called CHINA MUSK. They even advertise on their website that it smells just like Tova.

Well, it DOES!! I just received mine 3 days ago and I could smell the scent when I opened my mail box. I think it smells even better! It is just beautiful. I swear I think the chemist that used to work for Tova must work for Beyond Scents, lol!

I paid around $14 or $15 and I would pay $50 for it! Getting ready to order one for my Mom and Sister who used to wear original Tova, too!

Hope this helps, Kay

I too am a Tova Signature lover. Why on earth does the formula have to change? I also realize that in time things do get more expensive but who cares?? Just charge us a bit more. Listen QVC...if it is going to be the real deal we all will surely purchase it again. I too am fed up with these changes with fragrances....TOVA Signature and also Philosophy fragrances....what a real joke....those fragrances dissipates within minutes, and we, the gullible consumer keep thinking that we maybe just received a bad batch. Yes QVC, your loyal customers are not stupid. Just bring us the real deal. I have purchased other fragrances before TOVA and they remain the same for years....So what's the deal?

The EU put a ban on Oakmoss awhile back, which is part of the reason it will never smell the same. Your best bet is to formulate a copy of it with a local scent shop.

Admit it girls...Tova sold u the dream & u have been paying for it for years. Find another one.

I too am baffled and sickened not to be able to find Tova original signature scent. I wore it everyday and everyday someone would say how nice it smelled. I ordered some from Ebay....be leery, when I received it, the sprayer didn't work so i don't even know if it was the real stuff or not.

BEEN WEARING TOVA SINCE THE 90'S WHEN YOU COULD GET IT IN BEVERLY HILLS,HAVE EVEN GOTTEN IT FROM QVC AND NOW IT'S NO LONGER IN STOCK.....WHEN WILL IT BE AVAILABLE AGAIN......

Met Tova and Ernest in Stowe, VT in the 90's and complimented her on her scent (not knowing it was HER own). She was SO sweet and kind and GAVE me her own bottle right out of her purse. I wore it until it was gone. All these years later, I WISH I could find exactly that original scent again!!! Hoping it comes back or someone finds a big stash somewhere. Love it and there's nothing like it. (am hooked on Covet by SJP and Style by RL...in the meantime)

I MISS MY TOVA !!

My story isn't any different from the previous ones; Tova Signature became my signature scent, also. People would comment, "What smells so good", especially during the hot, humid, summer months. When students and staff would walk into my classroom, a positive comment was typically made. My motto became, "If I can't look good, then I can at least smell good." All of that changed when whatever happened to the original formula changed. I think it is rather hopeless that the original will ever return, but I guess I can dream, can't I?

Is anyone who makes tova actually listening to all customers wanting tge original fab smelling perfume back. PLEASE PLEASE BRING IT BACK QVC PLEASE DO SOMETHING!

I used to buy the original Tova of Beverly Hills 3.3 0z bottle from the Tova Boutique on Canon Drive in Beverly Hills for $48.00!! The price it is being sold for now is highway robbery!! $460.00?? No way! Especially it does not smell like the way it did when I used to by it in Beverly Hills.

Tova was my favorite perfume too.

The removal of another "signature" scent that I used to wear, Victoria from Victoria Secret was heartbreaking to me. I loved that scent; it was sweeter but still clean and fresh. When I went to the store to look for it, a sales rep told me that the new Dream Angels "Heavenly" was the closest to it. She was right. I get compliments whenever I wear, which is almost every day. Perhaps some of you will consider this as a passable Tova substitue?

I am in agreement. My husband bought me the sample kit one year. He was impressed and more impressed when it came. He said he had never encountered such pleasant smells or packaging before. I have bought other kits - all originals. But stopped after Tova sold her line to QVC. The smell, look and product was not the same. QVC are not honest people. Example their Polish Pottery line. When they got rid of the line and did not honor their orders. I only got 2 of my four pieces!! Tova you need to listen to those that got you where you are and either open another company or demand that QVC stop playing around and bring back the originals. Plain and simple.....

Hey all I bought an original tova off amazon for 127 dont see the Beverly hills address on the bottom and the writing tova is in gold.. I remember the writing being in black I believe this is the UK version of tova and is rare but its not what I'm looking for.. I want the Bev hills one... Can someone reassure me I'm not crazy and that the one from QVC ten years ago tova was written on the bottle in black ink ty

My mother bought this perfume, from QVC many years ago. My mother since has passed, but I found a bottle of Tova, which I was ecstatic to find a new bottle unopened that she had in a cupboard. I always get compliments on the fragrance. In my search, I did find it on Amazon lol for $400...ummm don't think I am buying any.

Then after stumbling onto this blog, I didn't know that the formula changed...very disappointed. From searching online it's pretty rare to find, only on QVC and Amazon. This always happens, any products I like, or that are worth it never seem to stay on the market :(

I am a vintage and antique buyer and seller. I go to the thrift stores ALOT.
One day while at my FAVORITE thrift store, I saw three bottles of Beverly Hills TOVA (Original frosted bottle with black cap... 1980s) perfume sitting on the counter.
Two of them were unopened and still in the box.
One was opened...no box and 25% used. Bought for $3 each. I hurried to research them and found that the tall bottles of Tova were selling for $200 - $300....EACH! I was stunned!
Well...I sold the two unopened bottles for just over $200 and decided to keep the partially used one. I was thinking...this stuff must be pretty awesome that someone would pay a couple hundred dollars for VINTAGE PERFUME.
I have been wearing the Tova since I found them.....and boy DO I LOVE IT!!!!! So does everyone else!!!! People ask...do you smell that? I smell fresh laundry...do you? What is that scent...I cant put my finger on it? If that is perfume I smell...I've got to have some!!!
Its like I'm from another planet and everyone wants to know all about me and my unique aroma!! LOL
Well ladies...I am almost out of my Tova!!!! It will be such a sad moment when I finish the bottle.
There is something MAGICAL inside those bottles!! I feel special when I wear it.
I could see myself spending hundreds on possibly the last bottle of Magic!!!

Tovas Original perfume will never be the same. One of the ingredients has been limited. Oak Moss has been limited to 0.1% as an ingredient. I believe that this is what is missing in the QVC "new" Tova Original. When I use the "original Perfume" from the 80's....I have a moisturizied feel on my neck and wrists that stays all day and scent lingers all day no matter what. I believe this to be the essential oil or oils that have been restricted. I dont have this moisture with any other perfume.
Here is a website that explains why and when Oak Moss had been restricted.

I would pay the Hundreds of dollars for the ORIGINAL vintage perfume.

I've started an Instagram page called BringTovaBack . I'm thinking if ew all post pictures of how Tova made us feel, or pics of the original, and if we get enough followers MAYBE someone will notice and actually do something about it ;)

Tova Signature was the ONLY perfume I could ever wear I am so allergic probably because it had such a high numbers of essential oils and that it was aged. I bought the new Tova Platinum Signature it smells clean but it is NOT the original it doesn't have that softness just the citrus and when I first put it on it did smell like mosquito repellent. One of my friends was over when I received it in the mail and she wasn't impressed and asked me is that what you usually wore it doesn't small like it. Tova admitted she went to her perfumer to make the Platinum they need to go back to the drawing board and make the original as a choice for those who would be willing to pay more for the real thing the Q could give us easy pays, but NO instead they try to pull a fast one saying that Tova is back. They figure the new buyers won't know the difference but it was those 10 million bottles that were sold that made them money this formulation isn't going to get them there because now it is no different than anything else out there there was nothing like the real Tova. nothing anywhere ever before or since.. If that isn't true than why does Ebay and Amazon sellers asking hundreds of dollars for the original Tova and getting it the bottle we used to pay around $34 for who knows how old it is but people love it so much they will take a chance. I am really disappointed in the Q they talked Tova into this I am sure it probably is very expensive to make it now everything else has gone up so high in price. The Q would rather pass it off as the real thing and make the money from people buying it thinking it is the real thing. I wonder how many bottles got returned I know I returned mine and wrote on the return slip " THIS IN NOT TOVA" it was the Platinum some $70 they had to give me back. So in one fell swoop they lost my business I had been buying from them since 1991 alot of that was jewelry and Tova now they get zero and me telling people not to trust them. Stupid!!!
