Tova Beverly Hills
Where can I buy the original Tova?! People are drawn to it for its fresh and clean smell with staying power. The fragrance notes keep everything smooth and alluring. I love its subtle yet distinctive aroma and would like to purchase some for myself, as it has become my signature fragrance as well. I get more compliments when I wear it compared to others.
Apparently, the formulation has changed, which is quite noticeable for people who have been using the product for years. Sadly, some even suggests that it now smells like insect replant. Many are furious and disappointed with the change and are wondering if the fragrance will ever be the same. QVC may be saving some money for now, but this will be costly in the long run. I'm sure there are remaining original bottles on sale in ebay, though I'm wary of imitations and fraudulent sellers elsewhere.

I've been wearing TOVA SIGNATURE since I received that lovely lifestyle catalog in the 1980's. My coworkers knew when I came into the office just from the scent. We may never find this one again as connoisseurs of this wonderful experience.
I have got 2 nice crystall bottles with signature as well night for Christmas now in 2014. Absolutely disappoint as I have got onky colored water in both bottles without any smell left within minutes. For sure Tova would never try to sell similar to her friends around Beverlly Hills. But only in Germany, so far away to stupids. Shame on you Tova.
The scent HAS changed and I am so disappointed. I used it for years and thanks to lots of gifts, I still had some until recently. When I ran out, I bought a new bottle from QVC, but I returned it today. The scent isn't the same. There's just no WOW-factor to it and it doesn't linger the way it used to. VERY disappointed. I would pay double if not more for the original. I hope they bring it back.
I complained about the current Tova Signature NOT being the original I remember and this is part of the reply I received from Tova's customer service:
" Since Ms Borgnine purchased back her beauty company in late 2012 with her first production series coming to consumers mid 2013, all of her fragrances are their original formulations and each undergoes a rigorous testing to insure this. Signature Summer has never deviated from it's original formulation. In regards to Signature, today's Signature is the same formulation as the Original fragrance and is made and tested by the original perfumers/manufacturers. For the handful of customers who feel something is different, with all we have had contact with, they have undergone physiological changes which include dietary, medicinal, illness and/or hormonal (pregnancy, peri/post menopausal. I mention this as many people are unaware of the affect these changes have on one's body chemistry, sense of smell and the last of any item with fragrance in it. The fragrance has nor changed the person's body has...I learned this the hard way several years ago while ill with pneumonia I tried to continue to use a very expensive Shea Butter lotion that I loved...to this day the scent of it makes me cringe and get nauseous."
The rep then proceeded to suggest how the fragrance should be layered with other Tova products.
Sorry, but I'm not buying it (the story or the perfume!).
The formula changed and everyone who used the *real* original scent knows better. I'm disappointed that customer loyalty didn't count for much when the product was changed, and I find it insulting that the company would suggest it's due to physiological changes, etc. Nonsense! :(
I've been hearing that Tova perfume was originally based off the China Musk fragrance. So, I just purchased China Musk perfume oil and we'll see how it goes. I had gotten quite a lot of compliments when wearing Tova. It never "turned" like so many perfumes had on me in the past. I always enjoyed wearing it, and I'm not a big perfume person.

I don't know how old this blog is but I own a full bottle of the Tova in the original white box. I purchased it about 13 years ago and at that time it was very rare and paid close to $300.00 for it:)I have not used it yet as I still have about a third of another bottle left!! Anyone interested is making an offer I would be willing to sell?

Lies! Lies! Lies!! And a spray issue?? Pffttt....what a lame ass waste of time. People, it's available on eBay. Just search for it. There's a shimmer 3.3 oz, and the original frosted bottle with black cap. Be VERY careful when looking at the frosted bottles. If the writing on the front is BOLD. It's not the original, rare formula. It just be a fainter print in the front of the bottle. You'll see exactly what I mean when you search and see the difference on the bottles that are advertised as Tova and priced for around $75. Then keep searching until you see a bottle advertised as rare, hard to find and it will be sometime as much as $350-$500 for the bottle!!!
I'm not saying THAT'S what you need to buy, ONLY use it to view the picture of the bottle to compare it with the others. Or, if you still have an original bottle. Take s good look at it and you'll see the faint printing and the "thinner" lines in the TOVA printed on the front of the bottle. If you purchase the bottle with the BOLD Tova printed on the bottle, you'll see that the scent is completely different. It smells NOTHING LIKE TOVA IN FACT- it smells like a totally different perfume all together!! And the newer, tall clear bottles that fragrance net dot com or qvc sells smells like bug spray!
Disgusting.... ALSO!! Ladies.... the sprayer will not get that white, chalky, sticky residue from spraying like the old formula did. You 20 + years Tova lovers know exactly what I'm talking about! Over a period of time, a white residue formed around the sprayer and sometimes if you got some of the perfume on the bottle, it wound leave oily marks. And......ALSO, the old formula had an oily/sticky feel to it after you sprayed it on your forearms you could feel the oil. It's not like that with the "new changed formula" why??? Well it's real simple! Because it's the OIL THAT'S MISSING! Right Tova???? Admit it.
Trust me ladies! Go to eBay right now. Search for any of the following: Tova signature, Tova rare, Tova hard to find, Tova 3.3, Tova eau de parfum, Tova elixir, Tova signature set. (Yes! I'm a die hard ORIGINAL TOVA ADDICT! And I've done my research, bought several bottles and Trust me! It's out there. And! Here's the good news!!! You don't have to pay the outrageous greedy eBay sellers prices! But yourself a used bottle! That's right....a "USED" bottle. Some are missing only 10% perfume. Some are 1/2 full. Some are even new, never used. I JUST SEARCHED! And they're there. I'm not even kidding when I say this! If I could attach pics with this message, you'd see that I've bought 21 bottles in the last 3 months! Yep....I sure did! And I have a WHOLE DRAWER FULL. I'm not bragging!!! I'm just letting you know that IT IS OUT THERE. People are listing original Tova's from estate sales too. Some have no idea that the formula changed and price them so low- that's why I've bought so many. I get my every morning Tova searches that I follow and as soon as I see one that's 70.00 or less, IT'S MINE!!!!

I am fascinated with this whole Tova-Gate thing. SadieSamie I messaged you If you happen to see this check your emails. Anyhow So I have a newer black boxed frosted bottle with the thicker Tova print. Without good memory of my long gone older bottle I can't say what my thoughts are on this other then it's fresh and decent in lasting power. It has TOBH Westchester PA on the box. I see on some of the vintage bottles on the bay also the same markings but they are authentic. Did someone come out with this fake Tova copy or is this just a newer batch of the old being recreated through QVC? I know that QVC's headquarters are in Westchester PA and when I googled TOBH up came a connection to QVC. Anyhow would love more input please.
So it's 2am as I sit here with Insomnia. I am the same poster as above regarding the TOBH black box. So I have the black box with the thicker Tova print on the bottle. Love it actually. Then read Sadie's post about the thinner print is the real stuff. I got a vintage bottle of the thinner print today and you know what? They smell pretty close to me. Then I got a bottle of Tova signature platinum. To my nose it smells a good deal like the vintage frosted bottle I just got but not exact. My husband noticed they are not the same. But it's very close and the holding power is quite good. Anyhow I hope this helps anyone. I am still fascinated with this whole Tova thing....
I have worn TOVA since day one. THIS IS NOT EVEN CLOSE. Its horrible. I have been heartbroken ever since QVC changed the formula. Please TOVA I am begging you to bring back the original not some cheap imitation.
Tova lovers and those who have been using this perfume for decades I need your help. Can you all tell me approximately when the formulation changed? Or when you recall it was different? I see the frosted black cap bottle, then I see this square crystal etched with black cap, then I see the trio sets the anniversary ones with the pink striped bottle and the diamond glass shaped. Then the long slender with the clear cap to the current bottle now on QVC.
I would love anyone's input on when the change was noticeable. I am doing some research on this. Thank you!
been wearing Tova Signature for 25 years and known for this as my signature scent. the atomizer is horrible every time I order a new bottle from QVC it no longer works it's unreal. please fix the packaging or go back to the original frosted with black cap! the scent is so weak and now carry a bottle with me when the original stayed all day and left a glow of moisture on my skin. I see that Tova is on QVC promoting but has she taken back the fragrance? What the Tova Signature is going on now?
I loved the original Tova. The stuff they sell on QVC is not the original. It smells like bug spray. How can Tova put her name in this nasty product that QVC has ruined? Tova you should stop your appearances on this shopping channel.
Okay everyone! I have found a perfume recreation company that will make Tova Original. I ordered from them this month and it smells EXACTLY like the original perfume. It costs around $49 - that does not include shipping and tax but it was worth it. They are called Scentmatchers.com. Give them a try!!!
I own about 17 bottles of Tova in the frosted bottle. Many through Ebay. Some new in box. Some with the original Beverly Hills address on the box. One I have is an odd frosted bottle with a gold cap I think that is one of her very early ones. I also have the Tova Platinum Signature, the one in the pink stripe bottle, the one in the diamond shape bottle from the Anniversary Collection along with the newer stuff. The stuff with the black bow and the shitty spray mechanism that does not spray well. Ok so here is the verdict. I got them all out and sprayed in various times. When I first got that bottle with the black bow (and not sure which batch I have of this I know it varies), I hated it. It did not smell like buy spray that many of you mention BUT it was not totally right. Well it's aged in that bottle now for a few years and it's changed. I think the key here is the aging process. Some of my bottles are damn near 35 years old and smell great. I think Tova mentioned she aged the oils or the concoction. Now my Tova with the shit sprayer nozzle smells freakin amazing. I have that one the left arm, on the right I sprayed the stuff dated 1984. They are VERY close. Two years ago when I would have sprayed this new stuff with the black bow I would have said hell no.. but I swear to you all it has aged and brewed in that bottle. That's the secret.
I still dream of it. I long for it. Nothing satisfies.

Yes,Yes, please bring Tova Eau De Parfume 3.4 oz back somewhere I am almost out had two (2) special from QVC for more than a year or two and just about to run out.
The formula has changed and they should admit it since they have to put the composition in the box, in any case. It is the 'aldehyde' that makes it smell like insect repellant. Check the composition as written on the box. If it shows ....aldehyde, then this is the new version and I agree - it is awful.
Tova on Ebay is going for $700 3oz btl! So nothing has been updated after all these years and protest!
Please bring back the original Tova scent...
